I am new into vintage watches... so currently gaining knowledge on affordable vintage watches. Just came across Marvin. Besides their most well known modell, the flying dutchman, in the '50s they made their own movements (most common is the Marvin 560), which are highly affordable today. They also made oversized watches with 37mm diameter without crown, making them ideal for today's trend. I am Hungarian and picked up two almost nos quality watches in Hungary, one for 85 eur, one for 200 eur. I think this is the way for a swiss made cheap vintage watch with in-house movement.
However, the watch World is endless, so there might be other affordable swiss brands with in-house movements. If you know some, please let me know.

"for a swiss made cheap vintage watch with in-house movement."

Sure, you can find some more Brands from the 1940/50/60 with their own in-house movements.
But, if you look for an affordable watch, that makes no sense.

Every Vintage-Watch needs a Service, and for an obscure in-house movement from a brand that's dead since 40years such a Service with spare parts would cost a huge amount of money.
If a Service (Revision) for an ETA-Movement or any other well known classic Swiss-Movement of the past will cost 150-300€, you you can double or triple the price, and its hard to find an Uhrmacher, if it comes to an obscure vintage in-house movement from a company that is out of business since the time Konrad Adenauer was Bundeskanzler and there is no demand today.

If you are interested in vintage chronographs, you could look out for watches with TDB 1369 and TDB 1374 movements. Only around 23,000 of these movements were made. Watch brands using these movements included Kelek, Tenor-Dorly, Mikado, Nivada and Minerva.
And now comes the less pleasant part of the story: Because the movements are so rare, it is very difficult to get spare parts. That is why most watchmakers reject these watches. Without revision and/or repair, you have a piece of non-ferrous metal only.
